Service Offerings
AMRF, as an organisation offering bespoke services, provides tailored engineering solutions to our partners’ unique requirements and offers services across four core areas. These offerings are modular and can be delivered independently or combined within a single project, depending on a partner’s needs and stage of development.
Applied Engineering
Engineering services supporting the design and industrialisation of products and manufacturing systems, combining engineering and manufacturing expertise to help projects progress efficiently toward production outcomes.
Examples include:
- Tooling and Fixture Design
- Technical Drawings development
- Design for manufacture processes
These services empower organisations to bring better products to market faster by designing for both performance and manufacturability. By identifying and resolving manufacturing challenges early, organisations reduce risk, control costs, and invest in production with confidence.
Production & Process Validation
Industrial validation services enable manufacturers to test, qualify, and optimise production processes, with a focus on high-quality and repeatable output.
Examples include:
- Process Qualification and Validation
- Functional Prototyping
- Precision Metrology and Inspection
These services allow companies to de-risk production processes prior to commercial scale-up.
Manufacturing Technology Development
Development and refinement of manufacturing technologies to improve productivity, precision, and repeatability for end-use applications.
Examples include:
- Process automation and optimisation
- Advanced manufacturing method development
- Integration of new manufacturing technologies into production environments
These Services enable scalable, reliable, and high-performance manufacturing solutions by translating emerging technologies into robust, production-ready processes.
Coaching & Capability Upskilling
A tailored, hands-on upskilling service designed around a specific organisational capability requirements.
Examples include:
- Manufacturing process coaching
- Machine-specific upskilling and hands on activities
- Lean manufacturing and productivity advisory
Coaching can be delivered either as a standalone capability uplift program or embedded within a broader AMRF technical project.
Engagement Models
AMRF partners with organisations through several engagement models depending on project scope and collaboration objectives.
Project-Based Engagement – Fee for Service
The primary engagement model is to collaborate with partners on defined technical projects as a fee for service, across AMRF’s service offerings.
Partners engage AMRF through:
- hourly engineering support using cutting edge software and equipment
- defined technical projects
- multi-stage industrial development programs
Projects can range from rapid technical validation activities to complex multi-phase manufacturing development initiatives, depending on the partner’s requirements.
Strategic Partner Program
A long-term program, designed for government agencies, primes, large industrial organisations or companies with multiple ongoing projects with AMRF.
Under this model:
- Establishment of a 12–24-month framework agreement and/or open purchase order with AMRF to support efficient roll out of projects and planning with concrete milestones.
Benefits include:
- priority access to AMRF equipment and engineering teams
- faster project initiation & flexibility for the partner
- continuity across multiple engagements & dedicated on-going support
Collaborative Pathways
AMRF partners with industry and research organisations to pursue external funding opportunities and advisory engagement.
Examples include:
- R&D grants
- innovation programs/grants
- capability programs
- consortiums
- technical advisory
AMRF participates as a technical & strategic partner and does not compete with industry collaborators.
Ecosystem Engagement
Engage with our provider, AMRF Connect, as the primary pathway for ecosystem engagement.
Activities include:
- Ecosystem Tours
- industry networking events
- technical seminars and workshops
- connections to research organisations and universities
- Advanced manufacturing accredited training
Event & Facility Hire
AMRF facilities can also be used for:
- industry demonstrations
- technical workshops
